Harsh footsteps echoing on the hard floor, Councilor Travell soon lost the security forces behind her as parts of the Council Chamber’s ceiling fell under the assault of the Goa’uld mothership. Reaching sanctuary became her only goal. The sounds of massive explosions and the wails of the dead and dying filled her ears and she ran across the courtyard toward a small, isolated building standing alone in a small garden near the now crumbling council chambers.

Quickly she entered a combination know only to her and the five council members and pushed the door aside. Flashes of sunlight and explosions reached around her form to show the small table and ring of chairs around it. Closing the door behind her activated the interior lighting. Moving across the room, she waved her hand above a small cabinet, that movement causing the locking mechanism to disengage and the lid to raise. Reaching in, she removed a metal and crystal device that slipped onto her wrist. She quickly pushed the furniture out of the way and came to stand on a distinctively marked tile pattern in the middle of the floor. Trembling fingers pressed the central blur crystal on the wristband and flashes of glowing light filled the room.

A moment later, the empty room was destroyed by a direct hit from the mothership.

In another place, a ring device activated and left Travell behind as it returned to the floor. Tannith stepped forward. “ I am pleased to see you have returned, Master.”

“So am I, Tannith.” rang the voice of Klorel through the room. “So am I.”
